Beatrice Harriet Schwandt, age 87 Paynesville February 7, 1923 – October 14, 2010 Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at River of Life Assembly of God in Cold Spring, MN for Beatrice Harriet Schwandt, age 87, who died Thursday at the Assumption Nursing Home, Cold Spring. Burial will be in the Paynesville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning in the church. Arrangements were entrusted with the Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond. Beatrice was born in Hawick, MN to Martin and Margarethe Monson. She graduated from Paynesville High School in 1940. Beatrice married Norman Schwandt on April 23, 1942. She lived in Paynesville all her married life. Eleven children were born to this union. Beatrice was a homemaker who loved to garden, cook and bake while raising her 11 children. She also did in-home day care for many years. She was a member of River of Life Assembly of God Church, Cold Spring. Survivors include her children, Ken (Lord) of St. Cloud, Kathy Knutson of Paynesville, Keith (Leah) of KS, Karlene (Rodney) Gayle of Richmond, RoseAnne (Val) Parks of Paynesville, Dennis (Patty) of St. Cloud, Diane (Bob) Decowski of Ostego, Lynda (David) Johnson of ND, Richard (Mary) of WI, Steven (Mary Pat) of Paynesville, and Marilee of Cold Spring; grandchildren, Scott, Juni, Danelle, Nancy, Jessica, Amanda, William, Ashley, Lisa, Rodney, Roger, Michael, Cynthia, Joshua, Jason, Katherine, Tresha, Greg, Christine, Scott, Sara, Andy, Kimara, Renae, Rick, Randy, Sonja, Chad, Trever, Rebecca, Mariah and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Tessa, Jasmine, D’Andra, Rachel, Jared, Trevor, Emma, Ava Grace, Lucas, Tanner, Jacob, Abby, Devon, Morgan, Kaitlynn, Brett, Kayla, Shelisa, Nicole, Nicholas, Amaria, Paige, Nia, Rayna, Marlowe, Meredith, Isaac, Faith, Audrey, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Daniel, Jenna, Sarah, Calvin, Cole, Elliot, Noah, Joey, Andrew, Taylor, Zander, Zoey, Courtney, Jordan, Avery, Mitchell, Morgan, Lauren and Brandon; great-great-grandchildren, Malachi, Journey, Adrianna and Reece; brothers, Milton, Harvey (Annie), Arnie (Dottie), Alvin; sisters, Aileen Tomlinson; sister-in-law, Kathy Monson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
