Darrell W. “Buster” Long, age 86 Cold Spring June 4, 1932 – October 3, 2018 A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring, MN for Darrell W. “Buster” Long, age 86, who died Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. A gathering of relatives and friends will be one hour prior to the services at Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Darrell was born on June 4, 1932 in Hanley Falls, MN to Orville and Vina (Granell) Long. He served in the US Army. Darrell married Donna Lee Shultz on August 10, 1956 in Montevideo, MN. He was a heavy equipment operator for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49. Darrell was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, St. Joseph and Rockville Sportsman Club. He loved music, camping, pontoon rides, and going out to eat. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Donna; children, Darla (Patrick) Barrett, DeeDee (Michael) Stradtmann, and Darren; brothers, Darris and Dennis (Gail); 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Orvella Johnson, Beverly Thostensen, Wanda Baily, and Bonnie Dyrdahl.
