Priscilla M Klassen

August 9, 1923 - February 17, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Priscilla M. Klassen, age 92, who died Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by her family. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m., Sunday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish Prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Priscilla was born in St. Martin to Peter and Alma (Schoenborn) Loecken. She married Norbert Klassen on June 12, 1945 in St. Martin Catholic Church. Priscilla will always be remembered for her special roast beef, canned pickles, pumpkin & pecan pies, and many, many Christmas cookies! She looked forward to Christmas all year and Christmas shopping for her family. She also enjoyed bingo, winning at cards, fishing, sewing, and puzzles. In her later years in life she got to enjoy the love of her grandkids and great- grandkids. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her family. Priscilla always knew she was going to win the big jackpot and she finally did… She is now in Heaven with the Lord and enjoying all the riches in the world. “We love you Mom!” Survivors include her children, Judith Norton, Shirley (Timothy) Thyen, Harold (Patty) Klassen, and Keith Klassen; brothers, Joe (Terri) Loecken, and Jim (Liz) Loecken; grandchildren, Sean (Abby) Norton, Brad (Nancy) Norton, Corey (Etta) Norton, Jason (Ruth) Thyen, Josh (Faith) Thyen, Chris (Jen) Thyen, Daniel (Kelly) Thyen, Ashley Thyen, Kristine Klassen, Joseph (Jennie Stai) Klassen, Nickole (Chris) Kneip, Justin Klassen, and Jared Klassen; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert (1996); infant son; great-grandson, Jack Norton; siblings, Bernice Bible, and Gene Loecken.
